Countess M\u00e1ria Henrieta Chotekov\u00e1, who lived from 1863 to 1946 in the manor house whose park directly adjoins the Medolandia grounds, played the greatest role in establishing this tradition. <\/p>\n<p>Her rose garden, with its wide variety of species, was among the largest on the European continent. Through her tireless work and passion for roses, she earned the recognition not only of the professional community but also of the residents of Doln\u00e1 Krup\u00e1, who began calling her the \u201cRose Countess.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>She, too, was a great inspiration to us as we built this beautiful place. We have managed to preserve her memory not only by using her name in the names <strong>M\u00e1ria Henrieta Restaurant<\/strong> and <strong>The Pink Countess\u2019s Salon<\/strong>, but especially by creating a unique private rose garden in Slovakia. <\/p>\n<p>Right here, just a few metres from the site of the original countess\u2019s garden we planted more than 2,500 roses. One of them is also Rosengr\u00e4fin Marie Henriette (the Rose Countess Maria Henrietta), whom in her honour on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of her birth has bred the world-renowned German rose company KORDES. <\/p>\n<p>We also use the petals from this exceptionally beautiful and fragrant rose in the production of our exquisite <strong><span style=\"color: #ddb75b;\"><a style=\"color: #ddb75b;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.apimed.sk\/eshop\/maria-henrieta-medovina\/maria-henrieta-medovina-018-l\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">M\u00e1ria Henrieta mead<\/a>. <\/span><\/strong> Come admire the splendor of thousands of roses and experience the authenticity of this place, which connects the past with the present.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 and 2022, there was a significant expansion of the playground, and a new as well as a pink nursery. In the current season, plants are growing in the Rosarium of M. H. Chotekov\u00e1 and in the grounds of Medolandia, there are already about 2,500 roses.
